The younger generation for both these different cultures have a similar mindset of freedom and independence. Not to say that there are not differences as well. For example, love hotels in Japan will still remind popular because of the small size the country is compared to the U.S. The custom to when to say I love you to a person will always be at a different time in both counties. All in all, cultural changes are always in effect and with the younger generation thinking alike in both counties in the end there will hardly be any major differences in the dating culture for both Japan and the United
