By the looks of it curfews are causing more trouble than they are preventing. Believe it or not curfews can affect the turn outs at extracurricular and sporting …show more content…
We can see that teens can become more self-dependent by setting their own curfews. When teenagers spend more of their evenings with friends they show a decrease in stress. Even city curfews show to be a pain. Not having a curfew in towns would benefit sporting and extracurricular events. Parents would not have to drive back into town to pick their kids up from school late in the night. Lastly, we learn that curfews do not prevent terrible crimes or accidents from happening. To all parents out there, if your teen is trustworthy try cutting them some slack by getting rid of that curfew. The extra freedom may end up being

There are many reasons as to why a minor would be out during that time, such as family emergency, last minute errands, or even school projects with a friend. It can also affect many school activities with having to start later and end sooner since the day ends faster. Teens shouldn’t be affect with these possibilities of not being in an activity because the later changes. There has been a non-scientific survey that has reported 50 percent of parent that have agree or are undecided with the new time changes and 60 percent of staff agreed with the change. A Later Start Time “Sleep is a simple yet powerful potion with the ability to enhance learning, boost creativity, fight infection, fuel growth, and balance mood.” says Dr. Helene A. Emsellem, the author of Snooze...or Lose!
