Although many town and cities have issued curfews our little town of Dierks Arkansas does not need a curfew. While curfews have a favorable extension to them and are meant to do good they don’t work and only cause trouble. First and foremost, curfews do not stop the crime rate and in all honesty they don't work anyway. Teens just wouldn’t care about what time they would have to in by and would risk getting caught. If they do get caught then they get a ticket which the parents most likely will have to pay. Curfews are meant to cut the crime rate down, but in many places the curfew just didn’t work or had bad effect rather than positive. In addition, crimes are what should be focused on instead of just keeping teens in at night. Crime
