American Culture Reflection

When I first came here from the Middle East I did not know English. I was worried for my family and myself. The culture here is much different than the culture where I am from. I write better than I speak because I have more time to think about what or how to say what I need to. This has been helpful, but also difficult when talking to peers and classmates. I use Facebook and email frequently when talking to professors and students because that is comfortable for me and for them. Technology has definitely helped with teaching me about American culture and the English

The American political culture values in the 1830s are in some measure alike for instance, the values in the 1830s were liberty, equality, democracy, individualism and much more. There difference from the 1830s and the 21st century are the concept of the definition and the society we now live in with technology and how each citizen has a voice in the government. The difference in the 1830s is that other countries such as France had an eye on America and how abundant the Americans were and how the political or lack feudal aristocracy had to do with it. Nowadays, the current values of American political culture appear to be a postmaterialist and this is believed that this value emerges when some members of the society have experienced a high…

Defining what American culture is today can be somewhat difficult in today’s society. American culture is always fluctuating. However, others refer it to as a “Salad”; the ingredients are there, but not everything mixes well. America is full of rich culture, but not every person living in America understands cultures besides their own.…
