If we consider something being right and normal in our society, it might be completely wrong and bad in other society’s context, or, if we are Muslims and do not eat pork, then peoples of other confessions can eat pork and it is quite normal for them. However, it does not give us a right to say that they are bad or, ‘abnormal’.
Cultural relativism is widely accepted in anthropology. Anthropologist, especially cultural relativists state that every culture is unique and needs to be looked at only within its own social context. To avoid all possible conflict or misunderstandings, we should not judge any culture by framing it into our culture and ethical norms.
