This week was interesting but I feel as though the description for the assignment should have been more detailed. The scenario is " You are walking to your car in the back corner of an isolated parking lot. A man suddenly appears and approaches you. He has one hand in his coat pocket, and you suspect he may be armed. Is it better for you if this event happens in a state with a Three Strikes law, which mandates harsh sentences for a person who commits a violent felony and who already has two previous felony convictions, or in a state without such a law? The scenario also doesn't state which direction the guy approach me such as in front of me where I could get a clear view and react based on his gestures or did he approach me from the rear, where I would have to take a risk of my actions in order to deescalate the situation. In this situation we are quick to assume the worse because it's at night and we expect things to go wrong when being approached by a stranger.
