Violating the U.S Copyright, copyright policy in sound recordings make losses in money for the economy of the music industry. Imagine losing that much money for the company and business you work in, if you’re losing money it is no benefit at all to you or the company.Making and producing music takes a lot of money to do, especially to publish the music to the public. This alone is a huge reason to update the copyright policy to fix the violations of copyrights in sound recordings in order for the music industry not to lose as much money as they do from copyright infringement. Copyright laws discourage people 's creativity, and the laws don’t leave room to let ideas grow according to Hamel the author of “Pros & Cons of Copyright Laws.”, (Hamel). If we allow people to use work that isn’t theirs that 's counted as stealing just as you would not violate the copyright laws to a movie or a book.
