The Importance Of Contributions To Society

Decent Essays
Making a contribution to society is not necessarily a huge thing. Making a contribution to a community can be anything, smiling at a stranger, giving a generous tip, or in my mother 's case raising four kids, two of which she raised on her own. Any woman can give birth but it takes a real and strong woman to be a real mother. Our family plays a large role in who we are today, and how we will be in the future. Jamie McGuire said, "A mother 's love is everything... It is what brings a child into this world. It is what molds their entire being." The biggest influences come from our families and my mother is mine, she may not have changed Texas but she has changed me. "Mother love shapes cultures and individuals. While most mothers know that their love and emotional availability are vital to their children 's well-being, many of us do not understand the profound and long-lasting impact we have in developing our young children." Families have been there with us from the start, literally since birth, they know us inside and out — they shape us into our future selves and they shape our …show more content…
My mom has overcome everything that has been throw her way and without a doubt she is one of the strongest, if not the strongest woman I 've ever met. She has raised all her kids with little to no help and I have never in my life once heard her complain about it. My mom continues to inspire me daily, I know she doesn 't see it, she doesn 't see that she is an inspiration to me. But she has always set great examples for not only me, but my siblings to follow ever since we were little. My mother has been just the right amount of disciplinary and loving. She has never been too hard on my mistakes but she has never dwelled too much on my successes to let me get a big head. My mom is a constant in my life, she is quite possibly the only constant in my life. And she does so without asking for anything in return, she just is there, a never changing variable that I can always count on. She does everything out of unconditional motherly love. I hope to one day be as great as a mother to my children as my mom is to me and if I 'm not I know I can just ring my mom to ask for

I was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas; my environment shaped me to become someone responsible, an over achiever, and a determined young man. The people who had the biggest impact on me is the woman who gave me life, my father, and my community. My mother was already there for me even before I stared walking, she was there to comfort me when I fell on my knees. She was my first teacher, the one who taught me morals and set up my standards; whenever we had a family party and all of our thirty members were together, she will make me introduce and address myself to every single one and if ever forgot to say hi to someone she will just give me a look to make realize my mistake, and I will immediately go on to that person and say sorry for…

    A. Autobiographical Statement My mother was the first and only person in her family to graduate from college, which has always been an inspiration to me. She was an abused wife on food stamps, raising two children on her own while my father was incarcerated. I will always remember when she told me that life was like a lotus flower; we may start by growing in the mud but each day we can choose to bloom above the water into a beautiful flower. It was then that I understood my childhood was not my choice, but how I choose to live the rest of my life was. My mother never wavered in her faith that if I wanted to do something in my life the only thing that could hold me back was myself.…

There are many different ways in order to give back to the community. A few of these ways include money, time and attitude. Money is, of course, essential to living, therefore a huge amount of money would definitely be helpful but not always necessary. One person does not need to give thousands of dollars to make a difference because someone else can give one dollar and still impact the community. It should be an effort from everyone in the community to give back that way one person doesn 't have to give everything.…
