This poster consists of 11 pieces of technology that were either invented, or dramatically improved, in World War II. Some of the most significant ones was the radar and the mass production of synthetic oils and rubbers. The one with radar is no doubt significant because it helped the British hold on to their land, and their land was the last foothold Allies held in Europe and ultimately the “forward base” of many Allied operations. Many attacks that harassed mainland Europe, such as the constant bombings of Axis countries, would not have been possible if the British territory had been conquered.
