I was running backwards with my head facing the ball while the goalie went to put the ball out, also, there was a girl running right next to me. Subsequently, the girl running next to me, went up for the ball just like I did and the ball hit my head but she pushed right into my side and I came crashing down. While I was falling, the girl was falling too and her elbow came crashing into my head. After the elbow, came the ground and my head hit the turf so hard my head whipped back and I thought my head was broken. When I got up off the ground, my head was pounding and I was seeing stars, but I wanted to keep playing because I loved the game so much. …show more content…
The next day, we had another soccer game in the morning and I wanted to play, but, a parent on our team is a nurse and she told my mom that I needed to sit out and go to the doctor Monday because she thought I had a concussion. Monday came, and I went to the doctor and they told me I had a terrible concussion and should go to the hospital to see if my skull was cracked. Needless to say, the doctors found nothing wrong but a terrible concussion, and they told me I had the choice to quit soccer or keep playing and become affected by the concussion in 10 years, so, I made the hardest decision I’ve ever made; I quit the game I fell in love with at just 5 years
