Taking A Look At Verbal Communication

Communication is a crucial daily activity for all human, no one in this world who would not communicate with each other. Various types of communication can be used in daily life to communicate with others. One of the types of communication that is often used is verbal communication. According to Aquino (2008) stated that, verbal communication involve talking and also listening. The most important is that the tone or inflection we used during the conversation. The concept of attitude is another important element in verbal communication. He added that, during the conversation, the speaker must understand how to use vocal components. In addition, verbal communication are when communication emphasize in words and in involve face-to-face conversation like group discussion, counseling, interview and so on (The Business Communication, 2013). When it involves face-to-face communication, every sender must emphasize right words that they use in the conversation. The usage of the right words in the right conversation is important in order to not offend the receiver's feeling. Other than that, Butterfield (2010) stated that, verbal communication is involved speech to exchange an idea with others. In verbal communication, the speaker must have the ability to deliver the message correctly to the listeners in order for the message to be received successfully by listener. Besides, the listener and speaker must understand each other when having face-to-face conversation. The development of technologies innovation allows us to no longer depend on the use of computers to communicate. Apart from the use of computers, they can use a smartphone to interact and provide feedback by sending a text message from one person to another person through WeChat, WhatsApp, email and social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Nowadays, people can update their status on facebook and tweets on twitter. Most of people tend to use social media to conduct business activities online. Skype and video chat is an example of advanced technology but it should connect over network. Skype and video chat give opportunities to people to chat and discuss each other. So, networking makes it easy for individual to communicate with people across the global. Besides, the website can also be considered as CMC for provide some information, entertainment and business opportunities. This situation shows that communication is interactive in which consumer can be senders and
