When I walked on that stage to receive my associate degree in May, I felt every emotion except for happiness. It was a big milestone in my life, but I honestly felt as if it was the lowest point of my life. I had no goals, no determination, and no plan for the next four or even ten years. For thirteen years of my life, the most important goal was to be accepted into a university. I have always been focused in school and was on top of my grades. After I accomplished my thirteen-year goal, I only had a vague plan for my future endeavors.
