The question framed are trying to get a grasp a brief idea of the problem and the present scenario of the neighborhood. It also tries to acquire the idea of what exactly the people want. Most of the online surveys focus on framing question as asking the responders “would you like if we implement this”, but this survey typically focuses on getting input from the people regarding with “what would you like” kind of approach. And that’s actually how the planning process should focus on. Whereas the CMAP was kind of open house meeting in which various PowerPoints were presented by it partners. The meeting was a long meeting with various partners discussing about potential stakeholders and their investment strategies and future plan. This provided the whole idea of how will be the planning process. The CMAP public engagement was kind of different, each department had their own section and it helped the people know in detail what the plan will be focusing on. This it provided a flexibility to the people to understand a particular topic and get to know the planning process well by interacting with individuals involved in the plan making process.
