Students are too lazy to think a little and do their homework, instead they look up the answers online. They look answers up on Yahoo, Google, or Wikipedia and sometimes these websites provide inaccurate answers. They rely on the Internet for answers because they are too lazy to use their brain, or search for information on their textbooks or notes. Wikipedia is an unreliable source because anyone with Internet can change or add incorrect information. On Yahoo, you can ask a question and anyone can reply to it and you won’t know if it’s right or wrong. On Google you can type in your question and it will give you many different websites related to that question, but you won’t know which is the most accurate. Textbooks and subject notes provide the most accurate information because they are created to educate students on subjects and homework is always based on topics you have been taught on the subject. Students, including myself, are also becoming lazier when it comes to doing the homework or classwork. Students are always taking their phones out and taking a picture of the work so they don’t have to write it down. At my school, there are always students, including myself, who are always taking pictures of the work and notes because we are too lazy to get out a pencil and paper, or are rushing to get out of class and not stay a few extra minutes to copy everything down. Sometimes I forget that I have homework and realize that I actually when I go look through my camera roll. I usually leave my school work pictures on my camera roll for weeks or months because I am too lazy to look through all my pictures and erase

Pratt’s and Freire’s idea on the Educational System The education many Americans receive today isn’t very helpful. When there is a test that needs to be studied for teachers tell the kids what they are going to need to know. Therefore, kids simply memorize the information for that one test and once it’s over the information quickly leaves the students’ heads. This is what our education has been reduced to. We no longer take the time to understand or realize what we’re reading.…

Prolific Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw once said, “The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” Since the dawn of the internet, people have been fueled by the mirage of easy mass communication. Physical distance has become numb, as many view their companions as being as close to them as their pockets. People can now speak face-to-face to their friends and family members while being miles apart; share articles with their hundreds of followers; and send virtual letters (or text messages) to anyone anytime they want...all through pragmatic, easy-to-use devices which encourage such behavior. These relatively inexpensive devices with these capabilities have shaped an addiction.…
