Commission survey (site visit) can be a demanding process for any healthcare provider facility. At a minimum, a hospitals or long-term care facilities must be totally knowledgeable of the current criterion, analyze current processes, guidelines and actions relative to the criterion, and be prepared to correct any areas that are up to standard compliance regulations. Any hospital or long-term care facility must be in compliance with the standards of care for a duration of at least four months before the initial survey takes place.
