While the other people in my life helped shape me into the person I am today. I remember during my senior year, I got extremely emotional because I was with the same people my entire life and I thought it would be a hard transmission for me. Coming from a class with only nine honor students (including myself), I thought my college life was going to be scary.
Last year, during my senior year, I didn’t expect college to be this different. Now that college has finally started, I realized that it’s not that bad. It’s actually quite fun and I love the fact that I get to meet new people and make some new friends. Although high school was very different, I think I did pretty good. My study habits in high school were very good. I was in all honor classes and I would also go to my local community college to get college credit while in high school. Balancing my schoolwork with college work and a job was difficult but I managed it well. I finished thirty college credits in high school through dual enrollment and I think I will be graduating a year early. Last year, when I used to dual enroll,

I wouldn’t change my relationship with my family and I don’t think I’ll ever leave them because of how much love I have for them. They are always there to support me and be there for me when I need them. My relationship with them will never change. Even though I’m in college, I still set aside time to spend with them. I never thought I would be really close to my teachers, but I think they actually became my friends. During my entire school years, I have had one favorite teacher. She was literally the best teacher and the best friend. She was so nice and caring that sometimes, I would skip lunch with my friends, and go eat lunch with her. She would help me in any subject and I still text her and keep in touch with

Exploring On What Students Can Specialize Receiving a college education is an experience that each individual deals with differently. While some claim that the purpose of college is exploring, others find that specialization is the way to go. On the other hand, specialization, also known as vocational education, focuses on getting a student straight to their desired major and into the work force as soon as they possibly can.…

For the past year, I could only provide an indefinite answer to a frequently asked question, How was your freshman year? In fact, those of us who experienced our freshman year could be addressed as “college veterans” will never initiate a conversation with regard to the past year. Perhaps they consider that the freshman year was not as consummate as they initially planned. I cannot judge my first year in college was successful or frustrating, but I feel I benefited from the meritorious experiences and practical knowledge gained from my college life. In my opinion, no matter what goals one wishes to achieve in college, whether its grade, love, health, or sense of accomplishment, one has to be prepared for both failures and…

I started attending Lone star college right after high school, at first, I began with the typical high school graduate state of mind, which was that college was going to be a breeze and that it would all be fun and games; more worried about what was going on in my social life rather than studying the books. Especially since I had no real responsibilities to handle or much life experience. Around my first year of college, I started dating this girl and not long after we conceived our first son. Once this happened, my focus slowly shifted from school to working a full-time job at a welding shop in order to provide for my family. I still tried to attend class but was unable to find the balance between work, school and family and this reflected my grades.…

My being born, and the moment I die. Many students have planned their goal for college and future when they were at 9 grade. Most of them are very lucky because they got their parents cover and pay for their school tuition. Ever since I could remember going to college was something that my parents always talked to us about. My parents wanted my siblings and I to have more opportunities than they did. I was born in Germany with a German mother and an American father. The benefit of being born into a German family and living in Europe for the first ten years of my life was the greatest privilege I experienced throughout my sixteen years of living. However, my father was in the military at the time causing for a slight pressure to always be prevalent for the duration of my younger years. This mainly revolved around the fact that my sister was able to grow up in Germany and I wanted that same opportunity. Soon after these aspirations were formed, they became mere dreams that never would be fulfilled because my dad was given orders to either move to Mississippi or Oklahoma, which both deemed to be the middle-of-nowhere.…
