I may not know who I am, or what I will become, however, I am absolutely positive about my potential and I will stop at nothing to achieve success. I have proven my persistence before and I fully intend to do it again. Only this time, on a bigger scale. Years ago I had a vision, soon after, with hard work and dedication, all my dreams were made my reality. Now I have something new in my sights. I yearn for greater success. An exceptional college education, such found at Virginia Tech, is a crucial step on the path to my chosen success.
I have spent much of my childhood in northwestern Pennsylvania. It was there when I, very young yet old enough to walk and talk properly, constructed an image in my mind. Though it was vague, the very thought

It took more than a few years to collect enough, being so young I could only work so much, but I slowly managed to save up. Eventually I had enough to buy the property. My dad and me took a trip back to Kentucky to sign the property deed, and we’ve been there ever since, carving a living out of the side of a mountain. It's a hard living, but it saved my life as well as my dad’s. My father had been a masonry worker, working with big stone and cement blocks took a toll on his body. Mainly in the winter, when there was no work for him and all he would do was sit around watching television, day in and day out. Yet, since he has lived out there on our homestead, working a bit around the place everyday, his physical health has been restored, as well as his mentality.
My dream home I had made a reality. It was intended to be a place of nurturing for myself, before I fell into the terrible path that I had seen so many people fall into, that i've thought so dearly of, the ones I looked up to as I grew older and more aware. I did not want to become like them. That hillside changed my way of thinking, it entirely altered my state of mind for the greater good. Now that I have my mind straightened out, it's time for me to set a course to achieving my new goals.
