In our days, students who want a college education, but cannot afford to pay for one, are highly disadvantaged and are forced to consider entering the workforce straight out of high school. We must ask ourselves if the financial pressure that is put on students is morally acceptable or it is a direct opposition of the idea of the “American Dream”. The negative effects of the inability to pursue a college education without a doubt will impact the future of workforce, government, increase crime rates, decrease technological advances by not allowing the same educational opportunities to anyone who is willing to apply themselves in school, no matter what their financial status
