The Importance of Classroom Management
An effective classroom management plan is the key to becoming an effective teacher, as well as making sure that is learning going on in the classroom. (Wong, Wong, Rogers, & Brooks, 2012) All classrooms should have an effective teacher to teach the students. An effective classroom management plan will also help the teacher keep the classroom under control and it helps the students focus better. An effective classroom management plan will help keep the teachers lesson plans running smoothly throughout the year. There are many different sub-areas that go along with classroom management such as: routines, rules, consequencesm, contracts, communication between parents and teachers, and a classroom layout.
Starting off every morning with some simple routines will deffenitly keep the students on the right path to learning. When planning some routines to start the day off with, teachers should try to start the day off with a morning routine with something that is fun and exciting for the students. Teachers could start each morning off by first having the students come in the classroom, put their belongings away, get their materials they will need for the day in their desk and then start on their morning work. For an exciting and fun morning question a teacher could have the students answer a silly question and have them answer the question by using their imagenations. One example of an exciting and fun question you could have the students answer is: If you could be an animal for a day, what kind if animal would you want to be? What made you decide that you wanted to be that animal? Teachers could also have the students draw a picture of what animal they want to be for a day to go along with what they wrote You could have the students answer the question and then go back and take a pole on which animal that most students would want to be. Some simple routines along the lines of this may make the students happy and ready to start the day
