The Importance Of Owning A Car

Superior Essays
What’s the one thing you need? Everyone in this world has something they want but don't exactly need. Most people have specific things that makes them thrive to become a better version of themselves. Many people disagree with the fact that I need a specific item. Choosing an item to make me the best version of myself can be overwhelming but not impossible. Although owning a car when I’m young can maybe be too expensive and some think I’m less responsible than people older than me, I need a car because it will give me freedom to go out, learn from my own mistakes, and be independent.
Since I’m young, I don't make easy money to pay off something as expensive as a car. Owning a car at young age can add up and turn into debt, especially when

With me getting a car, I wouldn’t have to wait around for others. For instance, my mom takes forever in the morning to get ready and we have to go drop off my sister to school first and usually I end up being late to school and it wastes my time because I miss valuable instruction time. I remember this one particular time, I was thirty minutes late to my college class, this made me frustrated than any other times I’ve been late because this class is fast paced and every minute is valuable and I missed important instructional time. I ended up catching up to the time I lost but I was still very bothered because it doesn't look good on me as a student. Driving myself to school will help me make a efficient schedule that can also be useful in the future with things such as jobs or college. When I’m young and I know how to deal with bills for things such as a car it can be helpful in the future when paying for other things such as rent. Since I’m working hard to pay for something expensive, it teaches me to take extra care of it and that can teach me useful skills in the future. Right now, my parents question me when I go out more than a couple hours because they are scared of me getting into trouble which is understandable but it gets frustrating at times. By me having a car, it will show them I am independent enough to take care of myself and for them to have a little more trust in me than they do right now. Picking up the habit of being independent is very helpful and teaches you to be responsible in the future. Many of the things stated in this essay can help me now and also in the future. Something that makes you a better person should definitely be incorporated into your personal life. While many can disagree, it’s only their opinion. There are many ways of getting more freedom and it can be a good and bad thing for each person. Think about the thing that makes you thrive and how it

It was not faster nor easier to drive to school since there are a lot of other cars. The only benefit from driving to school from home is to not be exposed to the cold morning weather. Once I asked my friends that why do they drive to school so much when you can just walk, some of them replied that they do not know they just want to because why not, and the others replied that they got cars now so they do not have to walk anymore. I was shocked with their replies because I thought they just do not want to walk and because it was cold in the morning, but they did not even provide me with an actual answer, it has just occurred to them that they should drive to school because driving just seems better than walking. With the technology that…

Josiah, I liked the way you structured your introduction to your meaningful place, by juxtaposing it against conventionally sought tourist attractions and by painting a quaint, picturesque image using the details along Reesor Road. As such, the Robert Frost allusion fittingly contributes to the tranquil atmosphere with which Reesor Road is portrayed. A poignant point in your essay was when you mentioned that your family entrusting the Toyota for your utility resembles a rite of passage. How might this shift in faith as you enter emerging adulthood relate to parental expectations of your obligations as a young adult?…

Although not many students like the idea of driving to school, administrators view this as a problem to their schools. My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…

As a professional in training I understand that I will be able to someday help others through difficult times in their life like finding a new job, arranging childcare for their children, comforting someone who has suffered the loss of a loved one, or a couple seeking help with their relationship. I also understand that I will be put in the situation to help someone who has different beliefs or comes from a different culture than I have. Being part of the generation who grew up watching Fast and the Furious films has always made me want to drive a car. At that time I knew I still had a while before I could drive, but any chance I got to be in the driver seat I would. My first time I ever got behind the wheel was right after I watch the fast and the furious in 2001. It was during the summer, my mom was washing her car and according to her “I accidently locked myself inside and somehow I managed to turn the car on and started backing up the car.” My mom was so scared she started yelling “put the car on park” “put the car on park” but I had no clue what she meant.…
