Although all the people of Maycomb believe that Mayella Ewell, Boo Radley, and Dolphus Raymond are out of the ordinary, the truth is that someone's true identity is never fully revealed until there perspective becomes clear. People treat Mayella, Boo, and Dolphus differently because of the reputations they have. Mayella was born into a trashy family therefore she had adapted her family's bad reputation Boo Radley is seen as the guy who never leaves his house and because of this he is judged and known as an outsider. The town of Maycomb sees Dolphus Raymond as a drunk white guy who came from good family with a good reputation but he trashes his reputation when he got married to a black women and is never seen sober. In order to protect his family Dolphus carries around a paper bag and drinks from it making the people of Maycomb think that he is always drunk.
