They dictate what you can and can’t say, what you can and can’t show, and what started out as a way to make sure all non-government use of the radio spectrum was in accord with telecommunication policies, has turned into an oppressive blight of dictatorship proportions. Fines for “indecency” rose and tighter restrictions were placed on radio stations. The FCC is a vigilante corporation that believes that its job is to protect society from falling into a manic state of depravity, and if that means throwing the first amendment aside to accomplish it then so be it.
