The technology advancement of today is primarily why people are so attached to cell phones. Cell phones are portable and provide immediate access. Users can now engage in activities such as accessing the internet, taking part in diverse forms of social networking including; text messaging, playing video games, watching streaming video, and viewing a wide selection of software applications as most people knows as apps, nearly anywhere and anytime. Cell Phones have indeed taken over the way we communicate in today’s world but should it be allowed in a work environment? Few believe this can be helpful in circumstances but I believe it can cause many problems. Cell Phones in the work place cause distractions, change the way we communicate, and cause unsuccessful quality of work performance.
The first portable cellular phone launched in 1989 it is known as the Motorola MircoTAC 9800x, previously most cell phones were installed in cars. After the development of the first mobile/cellular phone the size and functions cultivate with tenacity. The ability to fit your cell phone in your pocket, being able to text, take pictures, and soon being able to play games are just a few of the many advancements.
