The most important criteria that I have is probably the environment and campus life of the school. My biggest worry is getting to college and not being able to find people that I can fit in with, and the campus culture being very different than mine. Along with the culture, I also like a very small environment and class size. I feel like with a smaller student body and class size, students can connect better with one another and with professors, which I really want in a college. Environment can also include things like dorms, clubs, intramurals, and campus size. These will most likely be the most important factor in my decision. USI is easily the largest and the only public college on my list. If I end up going to a public college, USI will …show more content…
I went to a campus visit there, and it seemed very fake to me, which I can not handle very well. It could have just been the few people that I was in contact with though. I see a much different picture of Milligan on their website than I did when I actually went there. There is a lot to do and seems like a fun campus. There are not supposed to be any drugs or alcohol, which seems to definitely be enforced. There is just something about them though that comes across as fake, which really rubbed me the wrong way. When I was on my tour, my student guide talked to everyone and knew everyone by name, which is a great sign to see. The students seem to be very close and connected, which is exactly what I want. With 1,200 students also, this is what I like to consider the perfect size. They offer lots of clubs that I would be interested, including an Ultimate Frisbee club. Things …show more content…
The cost of attendance is obviously a large factor, and USI is probably the most affordable option right now, although Grace could very easily become the cheapest. From an academic standpoint, Grace offers exactly what I want, and seems to be very strong in those areas. I could go there and get what I want quickly, and be prepared for multiple careers. From a campus environment perspective, Grace is probably my favorite option too. Their campus looks nice, it is the perfect size, and they offer lots of activities that I would enjoy being a part of. After weighing all of my options and figuring out what is really important to me, Grace College is definitely the place that I would feel most at home, and would set me up for success in life and
