Have you ever been bullied because of the way you look? Well Auggie did. In the novel Wonder by R.J Palacio Auggie is a fifth grader and it is his first time going to school because of his appearance .Auggie’s face is different than regular faces . Auggie is his own wonder because he is brave to go to school and survive all of those surgeries but his journey trying to survive fifth grade is on a bumpy road .Auggie makes some friends and enemies but he always keeps his head up. In the book wonder by R.J. Palacio Auggie has a best friend named Summer. she is a nice girl that sat with Auggie during lunch every day of fifth grade when no one else did or wanted to sit next to him.Throughout the novel different characters perspective are shared. The similarities between Summers perspective and Auggies perspectives are that they think that people should treat him like a normal person and the differences between Summers perspective and Auggie’s perspective are that

Palacio the different perspectives in the novel helps the reader understand the character summer because the different perspectives help us understand summer’s thoughts and feelings by using first person narration, which puts the reader into summers shoes and tell the whole story.Auggies perspective is in page 51 “Hey is this seat taken?”I looked up,and a girl I never saw before was standing across from my table with a lunch tray full of food”.This evidence shows that the different perspectives help us understand summers thoughts and feelings by using first person narration, which puts the reader into summers shoes and tell tell the whole story.Summers perspective is in page 119 “I sat with him the first day because I felt sorry for him “.
