Those girls pass on the knowledge that Bryant taught them, onto other young girls and boys “Bryant decided to start Black Girls Code, a nonprofit that would introduce girls from underrepresented communities to computer programming… Starting Black Girls Code was a huge sacrifice for Bryant. But she is a risk-taker, and believes that characteristic has served her well throughout her career” (Gilpin, Lyndsey). Bryant only wanted to change the future for all the women who want to go into computer programing. For Bryant, starting this corporation would be a massive challenge. She was already juggling being a mother of a teenager, her job, and now she is starting a association. In order to make this organization a success, Bryant was required to make crucial sacrifices and take risks. fortunately she was completely committed to making her dream a reality; So she took every necessary risk that was crucial for her dream to become a reality. “Since 2011 Kimberly has helped Black Girls CODE grow from a local institution serving only the Bay Area, to an international organization with seven chapters across the U.S. and in Johannesburg, South Africa. The girls that have had the privilege of being taught by the woman who changed the face of America forever, have been passing on the knowledge they undertake.
