In the economy today globally, companies are expanding internationally and a person who has the ability to speak another language fluently can become a “significant advantage in the workforce.” Research conducted by Rosetta Stone resulted that people who speak a foreign language have an average household income $10,000 more than a household income that only speaks English. A survey produced by Ferry International shows that nearly nine out of ten headhunters in Europe, Asia. and Latin America explain that being bilingual is critical for success in today’s business environment. The survey also shows that 66 percent of North American recruiters agreed that being bilingual will be increasingly important in the next 10 years.
