Even children as young as age 2 are able to begin the procedure of learning of being responsible and tack care for their own bodies. By the time young children become preschoolers, they are able of some responsibilities like: self-care and several household tasks, but before that we as teachers have to give them age appropriate opportunities in order to practice the basic life skills. Young children like being helpers and like to learn to practice things on their own. Engaging workable life skills to promote children's readiness for independence will encourage healthy development like independence, self-control, concentration, coordination and order and foster a meaning of responsibility at childcare center, home and classroom. All these actions can lead to decrease self-care skills.
• Violence and abuse: children who suffer from them , are more likely to face problems in self-care habits.
• Dementia associated with cognitive declines can harm self-care skills.
• Psychosis which includes delusions or hallucination can affect child's ability to tack care for own self.
Symptoms:
Child seems unable to ta tack care of his/ her own self. He/she always wait for an assistance from his/ her caregivers. He/ she faced problems in drinking, eating, toileting, clothing and hygiene habits.

When teachers provide the materials whit different colors and ideas, that will stimulate preschoolers' learning and enhance independent dressing skillfulness. The teachers or parents can allow the children to wear their clothes by themselves, but the clothes have to be comfortable for them. For instance, the trousers are fitting their bodies and have elastic waist in order to help them to pull down and up trouser easily. Also, providing clothes with toggles or big buttons are easier for them to manage and tack care of themselves than small buttons. Putting on shoes/socks: allow children to try and struggle these skills, the adults have to be patient while teaching them. Independent bathroom skills: as preschoolers are ready for toileting, teachers can intervene children with problems with self-care by helping them taking care of bathroom needs independently, first by assist them and then letting them to practice bathroom skills by themselves. Brushing teeth: allowing children to exercise dental hygiene skillfulness
