The Importance Of Being Hispanic

Being Hispanic means so much more than how I look , and how I act. To me being Hispanic is the orgullo that I have in myself and in my culture it defines my humbleness and where I came from ,Los Angeles . Growing up in East Los Angeles was certainly different from growing up in the wealthier city in the United State . I didn't have many opportunities as other children.And certainly didn't have luxuries and as a young girl, I struggled to learn English. I. I would go to school and feel very out of place because I stutter ,although they told me speaking two lau games would one day help me .

.Growing up I never considered college to be a possibility for me. Because neither of my parents went to college nor hold a high school diploma , I didn't have guidance in the college application process. However, because I was Hispanic my parent encourage me to go to college .They provided opportunity to help me succeed in precollege performance and ultimately pursue a higher education .Not only did I grow academically, but also my life experience has grown . …show more content…
my parents overcame an left their home in spite of coming to the United StatesItp established a living for my family . Their hard work and humility would never be taken for granted, but rather an everyday motivation to give it my all. To never forget that some of us came from very little and some from very nothing. It is why I choose to never forget my roots; helping me to focus in my education
