John Porcter asked to be forgiven for a wrong he had done in The Crucible. The wrong he has done was a afire with a 17 year old girl named Abigail when he was married to his wife Elizabeth. John said he will do a lot of stuff to get forgiveness from his wife Elizabeth like buy her a cow or buy flowers to lighting up the mood in the house and the house itself, but he just get a cold shoulder.Which was not what he was hoping for.He even thought about going to Abigail and telling her they will never be a couple.
