The Importance Of Being An International Student In America

Being an international student in America, I have experienced a lot. It has been stressful a lot of times. Staying away from home and focusing on the studies and work all at once can get very complicated in times. My early days in America were very hard. Things didn’t go the way I planned for and this led to frustration. I used to miss my home a lot and couldn’t focus in my studies. Even though I was very motivated to work hard to earn my degree, there were various things that took away my focus. But going through all this has now helped me to develop a way to deal with the issues and complications that come up during this important and self-building phase of life and I plan on using these experiences for the next three years in the university.

I will be working on managing my classes, particularly what classes I will take. I will make sure that I won’t take all the tough and easy classes at a time. I will try to make equal distribution of tough and easy classes throughout all the semesters, so that some semester get really tough that I mess up.
Similarly, I will always be working on maintaining my image and building up relationships to the professors and staffs. This would help me academically and emotionally. Interacting with the professors would help build confidence and would provide me with someone I would be able to ask help for.
In the same way, I am planning on working with my friends, a lot more that I usually do now. Working in group has always helped me, so I will be looking forward to do group assignments, projects, labs, and researches in a group. The main advantage of working in group is that it helps sharing ideas. This would help increasing understanding in the subject matter among all the group
