Being an athlete you are always getting injured in some type of way, it can be either physical, mental or emotional. Small injuries are not usually taken as serious as needed because we know in our heads that it will not stop us from playing the sport we do. Those huge injuries that we encounter such as a torn ACL, sprained ankle, broken bones, etc. Everyone reacts in their own way, it doesn’t have to be dramatic or it doesn’t have to be calm, everyone takes pain in different ways that you do not know what to expect sometimes. So, there are different factors that come into play when it comes down to the psychological factor of it. Even when you are referring certain guidelines to a friend or someone who needs it, it’s always good to give the right kind of support or help them handle what they are going …show more content…
Lacking of focus, having trouble sleeping, having great practices but playing horrible when it comes to game time are all factors of a behavioral factor. Behaviors can reflect not only you but it can also rub off on your teammates and that’s something that snot acceptable. Constantly getting sick, a ton of muscle tensions and your appetite has decreased is a form of a physical factor because taking care of your body can lead to you not being at your best. When people bring themselves down, having negative thoughts and always doubting themselves you have a psychological factor because now it is dealing with your mind and how you think about your performance. An injury isn’t always when someone gets hurt, it can be dealing with a certain issue they are having in their life or even stress. These certain concepts can lead to injuries because you are not taking care of yourself so you are prone to hurting something when your head isn’t in a practice/game or get hit and fall and your body is not up to par and get
