I would help them study their bag work and help them in other areas where they were having trouble. I would occasionally help Mrs. Robin and Mrs. Connie with their reading and math centers. That whole semester that I was Mrs. Robins TA I fell in love with the kids and with teaching. I loved the kid 's face when they would learn something new and how excited they would get to learn. I loved how excited they would be in the morning to come to school and ready to learn. In the beginning of my speech I mentioned that when I was 6 years old I would play teacher with my friends in my room and that I was always interested in being a teacher but I was not sure if that was what I wanted or even what grade I would want to teach. Being a teacher means you would have to be hearing, looking, and trying to pay attention to 18 to 20 kids everyday for at least 8 hours everyday, so some skills that are important are active listening and monitoring skills. Having these skills would be very helpful in such a chaos environment. Reading comprehension, writing, and speaking are other skills that are needed when thinking about being a teacher. Active learning, critical thinking, and learning strategies are other very important skills that are also needed.
