Everyone is in the SAME boat
From making new friends to staying up late to cram in homework, every college student feels the pressure to make the college experience worth their thousands of dollars. We all struggle to find a balance between academics, socialization, and self-care; we often find there are just not enough hours in the day to do it all.
In the end, college students are stressed, but I tend to find peace in knowing I am not alone in my stress.

I thought wearing flip-flops in the shower was completely dumb, but I did it anyway. I am so glad I did because communal bathrooms are a nasty breeding ground for nastiness.
Distance hurts a relationship
I can count on one hand how many friends from high school I keep in (sorta) regular contact with; and it is definitely not who I expected. I have not talked to my high school best friend since the summer despite us promising to stay in touch. On the other hand, friends from my high school days that were more casual have become much closer. ANd this is all okay because sometimes a new season brings new friends.

Making friends is hard
The last time I had to work this hard to make friends was kindergarten, when making friends involved saying, "Will you be my friend?". And your newfound buddy saying, "Yes, let 's play Barbie". It is not that easy when you are older Now I have to work to seek out people I think would be a good fit and see if we "click". In the semester I have been here, I have made two solid friends; one is my room
