My profession is a Probation Officer. A Probation Officer is a person appointed to supervise offenders who are on probation. A Probation Officer is a fun and exciting job that consist of a lot of benefits, required skills, and a good salary depending on your experience. This paper will introduce you to the requirements of this high profile job, as well as the positives and negatives to being a Probation Officer.
As a Probation there is a range of a well paying job that depends on your experience. One of the many benefits of the job is career growth. As a probation officer, there are many ways that one may seek growth in their career, whether it be seeking a promotion or helping the most felons. Probation Officer also might find themselves having a career growth no matter if it is getting more felons than last year or if it is having the most felons become better citizens and following the law. As a Probation Officer it is important to have job security because if you lose your job as a Probation Officer there will always be a job for you no matter where or what it is. The last benefits and fringe benefits. Fringe benefits are benefits that you get for you life and health. A list of fringe benefits are paid vacation, sick leave, pensions and health, dental and life insurance coverage. The major drawback of being a Probation Officer is that sometimes it can be scary on the job. When you are a Probation Officer one day your whole day can change by your felon going crazy or getting mad about something and then when you talk to him you may say something he does not like and then you live is on the line right then and there.
Being a Probation Officer can be rough sometimes but they have there advantages too. Being a Probation Officer also teaches you many things like communication skills and critical-thinking skills but it also teaches you when you are down never to give up because you may think you have no one but you do have someone no matter if they are a felon or
