Not surprisingly, I am not a perfect person. I make mistakes relatively often, and I am aware that I can improve in some fashion in a number of capacities. While I consider myself empathetically well versed, I adopt the incorrect course of action more often than I would wish, and I have come to realize that it is a result of acting too irrationally when handling interpersonal situations. Also, I have been told many times that I am incredibly indecisive. It is one of my vices. I intend to erase this part of myself and become much better making decisions. With these ideas in mind, I will head into 2018 acting much more deliberately in the vast majority of situations. Whether I am deciding which college to attend, or narrowing down which sandwich to order for dinner, I must become more decisive. Acting deliberately and quickly will aid in some situations, such as when I am ordering dinner, but when contemplating life-changing decisions, I must spend more time considering the possibility. Too often, I make assumptions about subjects that I consider myself knowledgable, only to find that I was incorrect. This is unacceptable. For example, I once assumed that a college I had been considering was a plausible option for a higher education for myself. I took too long to do any actual research on it, and when I finally went to the schools website to learn more about it, the school announced it was shutting down. Not that this was any fault of my own, but I wasted time considering a school that was obviously not an option. Had I deliberately set out to find out more about colleges in general, I may have found a number of schools that I am interested in beyond the few I have applied for, and may have even settled on a college by
