Whether you love it or hate it, all of us have succumbed to society’s need for us to constantly update our wardrobes on a somewhat yearly, monthly or even weekly basis.
Now personally, I don’t mind shopping for clothes especially when I get to sit back on a couch and swipe through Amazon; but unlike most people, I really can’t find joy in spending a day at the mall, exploring store after store after store.
Unlike myself, my parents have fancied themselves to be “good shoppers”, now, “what might that be?” you ask; I have found that it’s not about the clothes you buy or how much money you spend, being a “good shopper” is about persistence and how far you would go to get those 50% off jeans at JC Penny's; being a “good shopper” is about buying things you need not want and most importantly, being a good shopper is about decisiveness.

Although I would never truly know or understand why or how they became such dedicated shoppers, I believe that my parents shopping habits stem from their inability to purchase all they may have desired as children due to financial issues, therefore, leading to a metaphoric hole in their hearts which has attempted to have been filled with clothes and shoes. Conclusively, “why do I feel such a strong disdain for shopping?” as you might ask, I truly have nothing against shopping itself or individuals that shop, however, I look towards the entire shopping process as tedious and even though I am well aware that I cannot just walk around naked, shopping is and has been a time-consuming process which has also begun to play an ever more significant role within our daily lives due to what we wear being one of the first impressions individuals get from
