“Faith has to do with things that are not seen, and hope with things that are not in hand” (Aquinas). Faith is what being a good Catholic is based on. In order to be good Catholics, they have to include prayer, service, and proclamation in their lives. One way to be good Catholics is including prayer in their daily lives. In the world there are multiple types of prayers that can be prayed at all times of the day such as: morning, night, and in the middle of the day. One type of service is doing service to God. One way to serve God is by altar serving at Mass. Altar serving is also an amazing way to set an example for younger children to show them that they should serve God in the same way when they get older. Lectoring is another example of how to serve God at Mass. Lectors proclaim the Word of God to the congregation. A second type of service is service to others. Volunteering is a great example of this. There are multiple places to volunteering at a soup kitchen or a blood drive. Another type of service to others is donating. Charities such as Make a Wish which grants wishes to extremely sick kids and BBSSA help kids improve their school skills and grades. A final way to serve is to do service to oneself. One way to do that is by maintaining a healthy diet. Having a good diet will lead to a healthy life. Another way to do service to oneself is by getting enough exercise. Exercise is important to live a healthy life. Being healthy also means that oneself can devote more time praying to God and going to church. Moreover, service is a great way to be a good
