The test showed that the students knew little about how to fill out a job application and knew nothing about how to present themselves in an employment interview (Kelly, Wildman & Berler, 1999). The students’ treatment group’s role played job interview, pre and posttest performance recorded by tape at fast food restaurants. Kelly, Wildman and Berler (1999) results of the study indicate that when appropriate teaching retarded citizens on job interviewing behavior will potentially help them become employable citizens.
Durand (1990) study reported that there are more ways than one to eliminate behavior problems, it depends on the illness. He argues that the different types of interventions allow individuals with severe behavior problems to live more productive and independent lives. Durand (1990) feels that the individuals with a behavior problem that participated in the study should be called student, participant or learners. Assimilation involves dealing with the problem at hand instead of altering it to fit their perspective. By using the modal accommodation will hinder the student from facing the issue head first. Durand (1990) results of the study suggest that by using the least restrictive approach and assimilation model allowed 18 of the students to effectively communicate with others.
