Personal Narrative: My Dream Of Becoming An Alaska State Trooper

I have always been known to be the one who is smiling and laughing, the one who is always happy and cheerful. Many friends and family members have said I have a wonderful smile that boosts their day. No one really quite knows where this happiness of mine comes from though, not even me. But as I start to think about it, what makes me happy is knowing how much of an impact I have on others. Although my life has been much harder than that of any of my peers, I have always worked hard to achieve my goals and keep a smile on my face.
I am Hmong, and my family comes from Laos. Hmong people originated from the mountains in China. Opposed by north Vietnamese communist, the Secret war commenced and many hmong people were killed. Stolen of their homeland, many hmong were refugee, including my family who moved to The United States

My dream is to become an Alaska State Trooper. To have a chance working where I live and doing what I love to do most is what I am aiming for. In order to achieve this dream, I am striving to earn a Bachelor's in Criminal Law. Becoming an Alaskan State Trooper is my dream career for many reasons including my love for the beautiful state of Alaska. The ability to rightfully preserve and maintain public order in Alaska would be the greatest privilege of my life. In order for me to achieve this dream, I will need to earn and win scholarships in order to pay for college. With the hunger to succeed, I know that I can overcome any obstacle in my path to success. I would be incredibly thankful and grateful to win the scholarships. I will continue to work harder and strive hard for success. Scholarships would really help me achieve my dreams. Also, college for me is a tool and obstacle in life that will help me get to where I am. I am determined to get to college and finish
