Banned Books Week is a week-long event dedicated to celebrating the freedom to read. This celebration brings attention to the countless amount of books that are being reported every single year. According to bannedbooksweek.org, more than 11,300 books have been challenged since 1982. This evidence shows that there is an average of about 342 books alone getting complaints every year. But do these hundreds of books deserve to be banned? I agree they should be banned, but only to the extent that certain books are censored to certain age groups.
