Adolf Hitler, the infamous dictator and murderer once said, “You can wipe out an entire generation, you can burn their homes to the ground and somehow they will still find their way back. But if you destroy their history, you destroy their achievements and it is as if they never existed” (Campbell). History claims that Hitler was so eager to destroy - do more than just send flames through their land, but through their culture, too. Arts and crafts has always been a major part of culture in any country. The stress of juggling school activities among social life,and to top it off is the dreadful decisions one has to make in senior year of high school, universities. As a senior in high school, I am experiencing the same pressures. A way for me to unwind is simply doing arts and crafts. Different projects like; jewelry making, stuffed animals, gift boxes, and even making pottery, can help me relax and entertain for hours. I find this very useful as it gets harder for teenagers to concentrate with all the technology that surrounds us everyday. The extra hours spended on making gifts for my friends and seeing their smiles is still the best reward. Other times I would make certain items for myself, for instance, I made my own panda ear headband to complete my last minute panda costume. It understandable for something who is starting out in arts and crafts to think that way but it 's simply not true. First of all, one can always reuse the leftover materials that saved from the previous project, which can turn into quite a collection to have.After a while you will have various of art supplies that can be used for last minute projects. Secondly, the variety of benefit arts and crafts have; from the building of our basic characteristics in our childhood to relaxing after a hard day to even prevent types of illness.
