IVF, in virtro fertilisation, is an artificial reproductive organization technology where the fertilization occurs outside the woman’s body. the fertilisation …show more content…
However, this results in a reduction of biodiversity. On the contrary id artificial insemination is used for humans, it can result in couples who struggle to pass on genes to do so. This may halter the process of natural selection and increase biodiversity. It changes the genetic composition by having the choice of what characteristics’. E.g. few selected genes become common in the heard and other alleles are lost. This could be significant as a resistant for a disease can potentially be …show more content…
The concerns risen focus on two issues; the first being that transferring the genes is not done in an ecological environment and the second being that genetic engineering can alter the rate of genetic change. If a genetically engineered organism is released into the environment it is more susceptible of contracting a new diseases or encourage the development of resistance to drugs. Which then raises the question “Is it right to be tampering with living organisms for commercial gain?” “Should we be changing nature around this way?” We do not have the right to be interfering directly with the genetic make-up of animals. Some people view it as mankind trying to play God or potentially change the course of evolution. This kind of technology does not promote equality as not everyone has access to
