Why Is It Important To Risk An Animal Life

Improved Essays
Are you an animal lover? Would you approve of animals potentially risking a animals life for the protection and life of you? While some people say that you shouldn´t risk a animals life I say that sometimes putting an animal at risk is better for us.Well the Armed Forces do and they use certain animals for their abilities, from dolphins detecting bombs to chickens crossing a minefield. Many people say that animals like the dolphin don't have the mindset to determine whether or not they want to do something, but I personally believe that there are multiple animals that can make decisions without someone else. All of the animals in the Armed Forces are able to help and serve them in some way that can benefit everyone. Animals should be without …show more content…
I disagree with this view, that putting animals in dangerous situations because, the animals that are enrolled currently in the Armed Forces are known to be treated well and they have not had that many if any injuries with these animals so far. The animals like dolphins and Sea lions that are enrolled in the Armed Forces have been treated well throughout their term and the Armed Forces even said it themselves that they are treated very well. Not only that but there have been there hadn't been that many accidents recorded because the currently enrolled animals have been trained to the point of which they are able to avoid dangerous situations. Many people tend to believe that these animals are put through hard tests and when it comes down to the real thing not all of them are prepared, but I disagree because the Armed Forces do everything to train them. Specifically, the navy hires special trainers to train and take of the animals and prepare them for situations. These trainers are some of the best and have been able to help train these animals to the point where the animals are almost in no danger at …show more content…
These animals are special and can sometimes do their jobs better than any human in that field. Animals in any of the Armed Forces are used not only for some of their intelligence but their capabilities on what they can do and think. These animals are specially handpicked, trained, and taken care of very well. These animals are not just dumb animals, in fact, some of these animals have the intelligence that can be smarter than that of humans. I encourage everyone to take a stand with me on animals can be used for dangerous missions and objectives for good. Now that we all have a sense of mind about the affair, it's time to take a stand and help them include animals for their capabilities and how intelligent these animals can

As the wise man Edward Freeman once said, “These awful wrongs and sufferings forced upon the innocent, helpless, faithful animal race, form the blackest chapter in the whole world’s history.” In the article “A Change of Heart about Animals” Jeremy Rifkin discusses that animals are no different than humans. Being no different than humans means that someone or something is similar to a human being because of either their characteristics or similar body parts. Animals are like humans in the way that they are intelligent, affectionate, and skillful. Animals learn by their behavior as well as humans, however, the only difference is many animals are brutally abused.…

“Unspeakable Conversations” by Harriet McBryde Johnson and “An Animal's Place” by Michael Pollan are both amazing stories about life and death. With the question, to what extent is it possible to define what makes a “good life” for humans and other animals, it’s difficult to find the right answer if there is one. There is no doubt that animals don’t have rights in the traditional sense, or in any other sense. Should we live with the same concept for humans born with mental illnesses? Singer’s arguments are strong but though some illnesses may lead to a person being stuck in a vegetable state of mind, we must understand that anything is possible in this day and time.…

As “reading” our genomes becomes more available, I think each person should have complete privacy over their genetic information. It’s their personal information, and it’s their right to share it if they’d like, but no one else besides immediate family should have the right to use their genetic information. Immediate family should be allowed rights too, because it could be helpful in making important decisions or in emergencies. Employers and insurers should absolutely not be able to reject someone based on their genome. That would be purely discrimination, weather it saves them money or not.…

Animal Research is, has always been, and will most likely continue to be a delicate subject. The use of animals in research ranges from cosmetics to medical and wherever there are animals being tests there are groups of people arguing the morality and ethics of the testing being done. Excluding cosmetics and the like for now (that’s a different argument), the use of animal research in neuroscience is absolutely necessary and though it is a sensitive issue, there are ways to make it more ethically acceptable and to protect the animals themselves from blatant cruelty. Today, animal research is more humane than it has ever been.…

On the article “A Change of Heart about Animals”, Jeremy Rifkin argues that animals should be treated humanely because, according to science, the differences between animals and humans are less than what we think. He believes that animals should be given the rights that protect them from inhumane treatment and human consumption. He is telling us that we have to give them the same rights that a human possesses. In affirmation to Jeremy Rifkin, we should treat animals humanely because they also have a heart that can feel pain and a brain that can think.…

For many years, humans have questioned the existence of animals. Animals have provided us with many needs such as entertainment and food, but are they really here to serve the human race? Many people argue that they are for it is the "circle of life". Animals eat other animals such as in the short story "Living like Weasels" by Annie Dillard. It discussed how weasels prey off of birds, rabbits, and mice.…

They do not have a choice and they do not have the reason and intelligence to think for themselves. There are many arguments for animal rights already, and putting them in war will only increase the outrage. These animals also possess special traits than humans do not have, such as strength, the sense of smell and the ability to fly. A soldier is not defined as a human that goes into battle, but just one that serves in the war. They should be allowed in war and accepted as a…

Animals all over the globe are sitting in a cage right now, scared, cold and alone waiting for the next experiment to be done to them. They sit in this cage longing for the day that they are able to free, if they survive the experiments or if they are of no longer need to the scientists. Every year there are millions of animals killed in laboratories from the tests and experiments done to them. These poor, defenseless animals are poisoned, shocked, and burned during these tests and are often killed because of this. If these actions were done outside of a laboratory it would be considered animal abuse.…
