“An animal nutritionists is responsible for creating and balancing rations to ensure that all dietary needs are met for the animals under their supervision” (The Balance). Animal nutritionists need to bring a lot of skills to their job to be considered exceptional such as their thinking and writing skills. To be a remarkable animal nutritionist one must have the ability to use expository and descriptive writing to be able to write accurate and informational feed plans that are easy to follow and understand. It is important to be able to write a descriptive feed label that way the owner/manager can easily follow the steps as to how much of each ration the animal(s) should be fed. As well as making sure the feed rations use descriptive writing a nutritionists must make sure they are also using expository writing. Animal nutritionists are also always “Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge – Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job” (My Majors). It is important for animal nutritionists that want to be thought of as exceptional to be up-to-date on technology. By being up-to-date on technology nutritionists are able to find ways to be competitive with others while still trying to find ways to be efficient and keeping the costs down for their customers. Doing extensive research on types of feed is important because often there are new feeds being produced or old feeds being improved. To be exceptional in this field an animal nutritionists needs to have in depth knowledge about all of the new productions. The knowledge of the new products helps to be able to inform their customers and put the feeds to use in feed rations if previous products had not worked in the way the way they had wanted them too.
