America is where immigrants are welcomed the statue of liberty symbolizes this and if America and Americans can’t represent what the founding fathers and previous generation did then America isn’t what it stands for. Those against amnesty don’t want illegal immigrant or immigrants in general to be granted amnesty because they are criminals. That granting amnesty costs money. What many don’t know is that during history America has pardon many things, for example, during reconstruction after the 13 amendment was ratified slaves were free, although the confederate side the south was apart from the union for it broke apart from the union. President Andrew Johnson during this time pardoned the confederate in other words granted amnesty to the south and allowed them back into the union without punishment. The confederate did do many hate crimes and had the KKK during the time and they were still pardoned by America to come back into the union during the same year after the civil war was won by the Union which is just not right but still were granted amnesty being actual “criminals”. Therefore, if America was able to pardon the Confederate right away after the issue of slavery was over and act like nothing happened then America should grant amnesty to illegals. Illegal immigrants are not criminals, they come for a better life they come to the land that is supposed to

Trump’s aggressiveness on immigration is unconstitutional. His dictator-like qualities, such as punishing those who burn the American flag, can be compared to when Hitler punished those who questioned his authority and went against his beliefs. Forcefully removing undocumented immigrants would mean spending government money and raising our tax dollars. Many citizens will not want to pay taxes so the government could deport a family member from the country. All in all, the strong united nation we have built could soon come to an end because of America’s poor decision…
