When a person decides to get on the internet they have, in a sense, given up that right of their own privacy because they are choosing to be on a website possibly contributing to cyberbullying that they are not forced to be on. Therefore, the state’s right to monitor an individual's internet access should not be taken away, because they are not forcing them to use that website, it is all by them choosing to access the website. Although, as to how far the state should go in punishing what is found on the internet has gotten a little out of hand. For example, in 2012 Robert Bishop was charged for the act of encouraging another to post on the internet. This is way off base because it totally violates Bishop's freedom of speech, and Robert did not make anybody do anything, he simply stated an opinion and never forced anything upon anyone (Zoeller, Miller, 1). Also even if someone has put the idea out, saying someone should kill themselves, as cruel as it sounds, that person is not forcing them to do anything.
