Algebra is something that should be a requirement for high school graduation. Now Algebra might seem hard, but it is very important. First of all, Algebra was taught in middle school so by that time you have already learned algebra I. So you should have learned that. Second of all, If you decide that algebra is not for everyone, then that leads to a lowering of academic standards. Having lower academic standards would just be too easy for some people. Lastly, Algebra is a requirement for all college-level mathematics courses, such as pre-calculus, calculus, linear algebra, statistics and probability, and more advanced mathematics courses.

But if you payed attention in middle school you'd get the hang of it. By the time you're in high school you have already learned how to do algebra I.
