The Importance Of Air Pollution In My Country

Air Pollution
There is no pollution control authority in my country. However no one needs an official pollution monitoring system to realize that the air we breathe in the city of Kinshasa is very polluted. It is useless to search for official pollution information on Kinshasa. Even in the 2014 WHO report on air pollution, data on Africa in general and on Congo in particular are not available. When looking on the WHO website, we can find statistics on regions like America, Pacific, Asia and Europe, but nothing on Africa that is not Ebola, HIV, onchocerciasis, hepatitis, malaria, and other calamities.
Still it would be interesting to measure the level of air pollution in my country and compare it to air pollution in other places in the world. I guess that there will be not much difference between industrialized countries and some regions of my country, like Kinshasa. Because here there is no control over pollutants production, while in industrialized countries the issue is addressed and people understand that they cannot use or burn pollutants as they please. While in industrialized western countries improvement has been recorded after some environmental friendly measures have been taken, the situation is getting worse in my

Many people use tires to start fires when it comes to cooking, or during bereavement wakes to heat themselves because the nights may be very cold, especially in dry season. Another particulate matter source is plastic bags that are dumped everywhere. After a while they are reduced in tiny particles that are easily carried away by the wind. Usually, storms are announced by violent winds that lift up all the light waste from the ground to the air. When this occurs, there is a storm of dust made of sand, plastic bags particles, and other pollutants that literally hit people who vainly try not to

People of the communities are having to choose whether to work in the recycling services or be unemployed and affected by the health risks. If the landfills were properly constructed to hold waste, then perhaps this would not be a big problem, but the lack of engineering is to…

The Foursquare, Twitter, and Google Reviews: The Medicine Shoppe has a single Google Review posted; even though it is a positive review it has a no effect on the brand value of the company as a single review is never considered reliable by customers. However, the review demonstrates how the pharmacy is customer oriented and involved in the…

Oil refineries is a place where people breakdown oil to fuels and the problem with oil refineries is that a lot of oil would be not needed so the only way to get rid of it is to burn it which causes a lot of air pollution. Also another example of industrials is tires factories, when tires are no longer useable or not needed there are thrown deep into the desert or place far away from building and people then they dig a hole in the earth and then they throw the unusable tires into the hole and burn them, and tires do not burn easily and they cause a lot of smoke and it will take a lot of time to successfully burn them away. Another cause that effects the air is a residential pollution. This is a kind of cause that does not represent a large impact on the air…

The daily lives of the people living in the southern plains changed drastically as a result of the Dust Bowl. Just plain being alive was difficult. They could not eat, sleep, or breath with normalcy, “when those dust storms blew and you were in them it would just coat the inside of your nose literally. And sometimes your mouth would just get cotton dry because, well, you spit out dirt sometimes” (Yancey 25). This dust suffocated people, and filled them up with dirt.…

But in addition, nuclear fission differs from the burning of fossil fuel in that it produces neither sulfur dioxide nor nitrogen oxides, the pollutants that cause acid rain. In recent years, a number of leaks of radioactive water have stoked environmentalist ire, though local residents were not exposed to dangerous doses of radiation. Meanwhile, nuclear proliferation risks remain a prohibitive concern for many experts—even those who believe that nuclear energy can play a significant role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. So in my opinion we need to have a long-term plan for nuclear waste. If we do not have it, we should not use of nuclear energy…

I have never come across anybody who has a negative perspective about it. Even low income families recycle, because as it is part of the rates package, it isn’t a noticeable part of wages disappearing. Hamilton City Council would have a positive perspective, as recycling increases the attractiveness of a city and also creates a healthier, more environmentally friendly place to live. On a wider scale, anyone who cares about the environment would be happy about the policy. There isn’t any area to gather information about how different people feel about it, but I cannot think of anyone who would object to it.…

The two economists as a result conclude that there is no economic growth from a stadium. They based this conclusion on new data and previously published research, in which they analyzed economic indicators from 37 major metropolitan areas with major-league teams. Now what supporters may like to argue is that Las Vegas has a different economy than most cities and so it cannot be compared to other cities with stadiums. However, Coates and Humphreys find that no matter what cities or areas were examined, no matter what estimators, model…
