Agriculture is all around us. So many people do not understand exactly what it is. Agriculture is not just something that farmers should know about, it is important for everyone to be educated on. Everyone should know where they get their bacon and eggs from, and how they get their milk. There is also more to agriculture than plowing fields and bailing hay. Agriculture is growing crops, raising animals for food or milk, and more. Licking County has an agricultural history, too many people have the wrong idea about agriculture and they do not fully know what all it includes. This is why it is important for everyone to be educated on the topic and have a better understanding of where their food comes from and also the history of where they live. Making a presentation with all of that information about agriculture will hopefully help educate people and possibly encourage them to get involved.

The former principle also stated "When they start, only one or two students have had anything to do with the agricultural industry but when they go onto high school, a dozen or so are very interested in extending their studies."
